Threaded hole in LS block
i have an ls block i just got done building but before i can run it i have to plug this hole in the back of the block. some people say it was for something on obd0 which the block is from an obd0 car. anyways, does anyone know the thread size for this hole so i can plug it. its to the left of the filter.

go to a junkyard, look for a 90-91 teg, and yank out the sensor that fills in the hole. i'm pretty sure thats the coolant temp sensor or the fan switch. that sensor is on the thermostat housing on obd1 cars.
as for the hole to the right of the filter, thats for a square black box that ventilates your crankcase. grab one of these from the junkyard as well.

it doesnt go to the water passage on the block. i was thinking it was like a oil temp switch for something or another cause it looks like is an oil area. i cant tell though.

There's a plug in that hole for B18A1's, B17A1's have a sensor in that hole.

Edit: Plug = Small bolt that PLUGS the hole.
Examples: My oil drain plug blocks oil from draining out of the pan.
My radiator has a plug at the bottom used to drain coolant.

oh my god i know how the sensor goes in there, im not a retard. knock sensor installs the same way. but i cant go to autozone and tell them i have a hole in my block that needs a sensor, what is it?
i know what it usually is or isnt. i know its eitehr plugged or has a sensor ive always known that but i dont know the thread size. THATS ALL IM ASKING. TAHTS ALL IVE ASKED FROM THE BEGINING.
That threaded plug you've got circled is where the oil temp. sensor is located (I believe only found on 90-93 Integras; there is a plug in its place on later models). This sensor will run the AC fan for 15 minutes after shutdown if the oil is over a certain temperature. It's buried in the electrical section of the Helm manual.
The other hole is for the breather box (black box).
