Default thermo switch

Its getting longer and longer since ive worked on a Honda.
my friend back in cali was asking about the fan hookup on his CRX. when he bought the car it had a toggle switch to turn on the fan but no thermo switch. What im wondering is what power runs through the switch? It would be easier if i was just there and could see the car. So the fan has a constant ground, +12v relay controlled by the thermo switch right?

The thermo switch completes the circuit to ground to energize the fan. Normally, the manual fan switch setups just parallel the thermo switch to ground the circuit at will. In other words, no need to remove the factory thermo switch. But who knows what was done to bastardize the car.

Yeah, thats what "NORMALLY" done but, there is no wire connected to the thermo switch. So im just trying to remember how the thermo switch is hooked up (stock).
