Test Pipe Q's
I have a '94 integra LS. I currently have a 2.25" test pipe waiting to be bolted between my stock header and greddy SP exhaust system (2.36"). I just have a few questions before i put it on:
1) Do i need an O2 bung? It does not have one right now. Is it necessary to have the o2 sensor plugged into the test pipe? I will get one fabricated if i have to.
2) Will this make any 'sounds'?
3) Anything else significant that i need to know about test pipes? (besides the emissions...i'm aware of that
_
Thanks in advance.

The OBD-1 oxygen sensors are in the collector of the exhaust manifold. There's no need to put one in the test pipe unless you need an extra one to run PCV e-vac or a wideband.
It will be louder.
It will be louder.
well, i think he can guess it's gonna be louder.. it's gonna give you that ricer fart can effect-raspy, high rattling sounds
I dont really think it's wise to run a test pipe on your teg(unless with boost
)
in socal, 2000dollar fine if they wanna nail you.
like the guy before said, there's no need for a bung if it's obd1, if you got a obd2 equipped car, even with the bung and secondary sensor in, it will still throw a code, a soft code.
have fun tearing your eye up every stoplight
remember Hc Co Nox is your best friend now

I just installed it today
Yes it's louder, but it's not VERY loud and it's not annoying, and rattling as you described it. What'd you mean by tearing my eye up at every stoplight?
'bout the fine stuff...i put my cat heat shields around it...so visibly it looks like a cat. For smog, i'd just replace my stock cat.
