Default Temporary heater bypass?

I found out this morning that my heater core is damaged and leaking coolant. I don't really have time to repair it at the moment, so I'm wanting to just bypass it for now, by taking the #7 hose in this pic, and connecting it where #11 normally connects underneath the throttle body. Any problems with doing this?

So is it okay to still run my A/C with no coolant going through the heater core?

Without coolant in the heater core you won't really be able to adjust how cold your AC gets since the temp adjustment ****/slider just varies the coolant flow to do that. Other than that, I don't see any problems with running your AC w/o coolant in the heater core.

gotcha... I plan on keeping the slider pegged on Cold (and the coolant valve closed) for the full extent that my heater is bypassed.
