Temp gauge not reading...what to check?
There is a single wire sensor on the side of the head under the distributor....that is probably your problem. If you replace it, and the wiring is good, but the gauge still does not read, the gauge is bad.
ground that wire that he is talking about and see what your temp gauge does. It should sweep pass hot on your gauge. that'll tell you if your gauge is functioning. probably have a bad temp sensor.

Otherwise you could fry the gauge.
