techies??? 20in bore!!
hey,...i was just thinking....why don't they produce a 1cylinder 4-stroke motor..
with a big bore....Like 20in maybe..
i don't know a whole lot about engines...but i know how a 4 stroke works...
what i'm thinking is displacement...BIG time...
and it would weight in at around the same a a 4cylinder....
of course gas mpg will be down...but think about how thick you could make the cylinder wall
can we say 40+psi of boost
just a thought...

How about this? Only problem is it's only available in 6-cylinders or more.

Do you think it would throw off your weight distribution?
edit...
For the same displacement & power, a 1-cylinder engine needs a way bigger flywheel to carry it over all the non-power strokes. Not the best thing for acceleration.
