Default Witch CP Piston??

I have seen two differient CP pistons. Strutted and non strutted. I dont know witch one to buy. I am looking to go up from 500 to 650 on race gas and I am changing my pistons. Laskeyracing sells both, and I have email evans tunnnig to see what they sell but I have not got a reply. http://www.laskeyracing.com/shop/cppistons.htm

You want NON Strutted for High Boost Apps .

they are a braced lightweight piston.

Yes it is a lighter piston mainly used in NA Engines

Im sure this is a stupid question but why light weight in NA engines and not boost? I would think the lighter the better reguardless

Lighter = less material = weaker

You have much higher cylinder pressures in a boosted engine. NA can shave weight without as much fear of breaking.
