Default Techedge install, need help hooking up the unit!!

Hi, i just got a techedge 2.0 wideband unit and was wondering how to hook it up.
I wanna hook up the kit without cutting my wire harness. I was wondering if i can just open up the ecu and solder some wires to the the right pinouts and use those wires to connect to the wideband. All i really want is to hook up the wideband to datalog A/F rations vs rpm. So all i would need is to hook up rpm, ground and power. But im not sure which pinouts are for what, I believe for a p28 obd 1, A21 is the ICM and this is the place where i would hook up to the rpm on the wideband unit, but where do i get the power from? Which pinout is for power? thanks ahead of time, and also what kind of wires should i use?

use the power from your ignition switch and a obd1 to obd1 adapter that goes between your ecu and ecu harness is a hot setup you can remove when uninstalling your engine management system.
