Techedge install, need help hooking up the unit!!
Hi, i just got a techedge 2.0 wideband unit and was wondering how to hook it up.
I wanna hook up the kit without cutting my wire harness. I was wondering if i can just open up the ecu and solder some wires to the the right pinouts and use those wires to connect to the wideband. All i really want is to hook up the wideband to datalog A/F rations vs rpm. So all i would need is to hook up rpm, ground and power. But im not sure which pinouts are for what, I believe for a p28 obd 1, A21 is the ICM and this is the place where i would hook up to the rpm on the wideband unit, but where do i get the power from? Which pinout is for power? thanks ahead of time, and also what kind of wires should i use?

use the power from your ignition switch and a obd1 to obd1 adapter that goes between your ecu and ecu harness is a hot setup you can remove when uninstalling your engine management system.
thanks for the help, but where can i find the obd1 to obd1 adapter? also when you say hook it up to the ignition switch? do you mean the ignition switch that would be found on one of the pinouts? Thanks for your help!!
i have an interesting situation with them i bought it last year and finally started my car last month now. the problem is the unit is getting power but nothing is happening i think its deffective will techedge take it back
