Default Tech Guru's PLEASE HELP

OK, se here's the thing....I'm putting in new .5 mm oversize R pistons into my 94 gsr. My rods are reconditionable and I want to know if 01 R pistons OR CTR pistons will DIRECTLY fit onto the gsr rods without any modification?? Also, if I go with CTR pistons, would that cause problems with a daily driven car? Anyone with knowledge please help, I have been without my car for over a month and I need to know what way to go and I can't f*ck around and end up spending money on useless parts...thanks!

Should have no probles with rod/piston compatibility.

CTR pistons will give you 12+ compression on a GSR motor. That's alot for 92-93 octane gas.

Quick note: factory oversize pistons are 0.25mm over.

Where did you get a .5mm over bore ITR Piston?

As for Compression if you use a Standard to .25mm over then you will have a bit over 11.1:1 compression then if you use a Spoon or Mugen HG that should get the Comression right around where you want it.

I was mistaken, I talked to Len and factory honda goes no bigger than .25mm overbore.....I'm going with them instead and hopefully the .25 will be enough to remove all carbon scorring. If I have to go .5, I guess i'll be lookin into JE's or something.....

I am sure you will be fine with the .25mm over
Look at the cylinder and feel inside.... If there is groove that is .5mm deep then yes you need to resleeve IMO
