Most people in here aren't going to know what they're looking at without an explanation.

Sorry,

It's a new process being tested and so far has made anywhere from 15-20whp and lowered gear box temps along with giving the tranmission the ability to withstand more horspower and torque. Small modifications such as inherent grinding with RSX 2nd,3rd and Bseries 3rd are also benefitted by this treatment. So far we've tested it in an 800whp RSX, an NA 200whp K20A EK and a B20 Vtec with great results. power increases and stats will be posted soon. Custom tranny mods are also available. As far as price that is TBA we are currently trying to make it cost effective for everyone with the need for such modifications. Have seen up to a 10th of a second in quarter. Stay tuned more to come.

Do you have data to back this reliability claim? Wiebull analysis?

I'm not attacking but just asking the pertinent questions.

As far as reliability claim we have an 800whp RSX that it's currently being tested in. We've broken countless stock trannies within about 5 passes so far we're at 14 with no wear issues to speak of. I'll keep you updated.

It's been implemented in top fuel and Nascar testing for about six months now with great results. This is kind of a carry over to give the street enthusiasts a chance to benefit from it.

UPDATE:
Tranny will be assembly will be completed today and hopefully have some numbers for you tomorrow on flash202's EK K20a2

What it used to look like just for reference

If you look at the surface of the metal at 1000X on a microscope then you'll see the rifts and valleys that the reamins after the machining no matter how good of machine. This process effectively takes those rifts and valleys and smooths them over making the surface completely smooth. The process is developed by Mikronite technologies and was originally developed for heart valve finishing where smoothness is imperative.

Unfortunately since Cryo seems to make the core of the metal quite brital then we declined any further treatment of the gears. For now I just want to make sure that the stock to stock testing is performed to show all realms of performance changes rather than just the big HP guys.
