TCS, ABS, and Check Engine lights
Ok, so I made a mistake somewhere! Installed a keyless entry with remote starter in a 2002 Accord V6 (dads car). I did one a few years ago on a 1998 Toyota Avalon (moms car) so I'm not new to the remote starters.
Think I did something while probing the wires in the harness. During the install I notice the factory electric door locks stopped working. Ok, I'll leave the locks off the remote and finish the install.
Finished the install and the remote starter works, but I have a TCS, ABS, and Check Engine light. I tried clearing the codes and they come right back on. Also noticed the AC isn't working.
Anyone have a guess? Are all these systems controlled by one computer??
Thanks

Yeah, they have what so called "multiplex control units", one is attached to driver's fuse box and the other is attached to passenger's fuse box, these control units pretty much controls all electrical circuits in the car, but you must have probed a wrong wire somewhere, i've seen some "goofy, half-***" jobs on keyless entry systems but no dtc set.....good luck man.
Thanks for the info. I guess I cooked the one on the pass side fuse box. I can hear a relay behind it clicking when I hit the door lock button.
Maybe I can convince the service mgr to cover it under warranty.

Follow up .....
Last month I finally got a chance to look at the car again. Turned out most of the problems were due to a connector I forgot to plug in, DOH! Immediatedly fixed the TCS, ABS, Check Engine, and trouble codes. That only left the lack of door lock / unlock.
Traced that to the pass side MPX module. Decided to look inside the box since it was broken anyway. Found a cold solder joint. Fixed that and the door unlock function returned. Didn't find the lock problem.
The cold solder joint brings back nightmares of the old '86 Rx7. The electronic HVAC controls on those cars were riddled with cold solder joints!
Any idea where to get a schematic of the MPX box? How about a junk yard to get a used one.

My moms car (Acura 3.2TL) had the same problem with the TCS and Check Engine Lights. The problem was a clogged EGR valve. There was some kind of problem with the way the EGR recirculated the exhaust. You might want to check that out.
