I just noticed a tapping noise that comes on at around 3000rpm and is only there when you are pressing the accelerator. I think it may be a loose valve rocker arm as I did a valve adjustment a few months ago and it may have loosened up. I am hoping it is not "rod knock" or a spun bearing as its not that loud but an annoying tapping very quickly.

well, my mechanic seems to be certain its a bearing. Only happens when you are on the throttle and its most apparent at 3000rpm. Looks like I might have to pull this bad boy and rebuild with new bearings and drop in a B20b.
