care to explain how to safely do this? I wouldn't put anything through my tranny and hit it with a hammer, but that's just me. If you've got the axle out of the hub, there is no reason you shouldn't be able to just pull it out of the tranny

You should just be able to pop it out with a large srewdriver or prybar. If not, <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by civickiller »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">pound it out from the drivers side</TD></TR></TABLE>
Use a long srewdriver to tap it out from the driver's side.

thats what i was saying. get a long screw driver and just tap it out, it should come out easy, if not hit alittle harder. i didnt litterally mean get a big hammer and jsut start beating the tranny till it comes out

got LSD?
no ... then youve got a pin through the diff that'll get in the way. maybethey just put that there so people wouldn't try to hammer the axels out,
just put a large flathead between the tranny and the axle and pry. carful not to gouge the seal.
