tools to pull a tranny

Default tools to pull a tranny

i found a gsr tranny for a good price but its still in the car and i have to pull the tranny my self.
what tools do i need?

- jack
- heavy-duty pry bar
- good set of socket set...10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm (deep & regular)
- breaker bar
- rope (to keep tranny from damage when lowering)

you will also need a 19 mil to unbolt two of the bolts connected to the rear mount
The next thing to consider is if you have to pull the axles. If so you will need to seperate the outer ball joint to pull the axle out.

you could use a ratchet to seperate the balljoints. also may want a hammer or rubber mallet incase the axles, or transmission, dont want to easily come off.

You pull the axles out of the hubs when removing just the tranny?
