Default Taking off distibutor cap in d15?

There has been some crackling sounds from the distributor cap, so I took the plastic cap off, but I don't know how to get to the rotor inside, which I suspect is what is causing the noise. Can anybody tell me how to do this? Thanks.

with distributer cap off, unplug distributer, then crank engine as quickly as you can, so it turns slowly, and wait until you see a set screw on the rotor. use a phillips screwdriver to take it out, and the rotor slides off. good luck
also, you might have to remove the internal coil (that black thing on top when you take the cap off. its got 4 screws in it, and the 2 wires screwed to it.
