i have a sunpro tach that i hooked up in my ek and it doesnt want to work until about 5k rpms ive checked it over and over to see if it might be a short and thats not the case. any suggestions?

 

do you have it set up for a 4 cyl?

What model of Sunpro?
Where did you connect the tach "pickup", [green I think] lead to?
How/where is the gauge grounded?

You also said "EK" is your Civic a JDM [RHD]? 94

 

the tach is an older model and it has 2 pick up wires, the accessory, ground, and power so a total of 5 wires from what ive been told im only supposed to use 1 of the pick up wires as the other is for a v8 so i had him help me with it and it still isnt working i have the ground(black) running to my chasis and the accessory(yellow) runnin to my interior lighting and the power(red) hooked up to the power wire off my gauges in my pillar. the pick up wire is hooked up to the green wire on my dizzy.
