Default Replacing only the tach in a gauge cluster

1998 Civic EX

How difficult is it to just swap the tach only in my gauge cluster? My tach is always pegged...and jumps around randomly. I have a tach signal up to the test connection on the driver side fender...so I know my ICM is working and I have no wiring problems to that point.

I have been looking around for a new cluster on craig list, but most want $100 for the entire cluster to swap. I have read the threads about swapping the speedo (which looks very easy) but didn't see anything about swapping a tach only...I was not sure if the tach just comes out like the speedo does??

Is this difficult to do?

I found this on ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-USDM-Honda-Civic-EK-EK4-tach-tachometer-instrument-dash-gauge-cluster-7K-/271199963971?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ACivic&hash=item3f24c70b43&vxp=mtr
At $40 and free shipping, Price is cheaper then anything thing I have found for an entire cluster

IIRC it's 4 screws from the backside, after you remove the lens and bezel of course. I have a 98 EX auto cluster I'm tryin to get rid of, was hoping to get a little more than $40 though.

Easy. Couple screws and you're done.

But, this reminds me that I should really be pulling more gauge clusters. Around me they all get crushed with the car ... nobody wants 'em, nobody cares.
