Default Symtoms of a bad pressure plate

I just wanted to know the signs. I think mine is going bad. The car chatters in the morning and it just planly drives funny going past 3g. It would sometimes hesitate and some days it would'nt around thay rpm.

ps. Does it effect the initial grab of the clutch disc or no?

A bad pressure plate would usually be associated with a squishy pedal and little or no clutch travel. If you destroy your clutch, material can get stuck in between the "fingers" on the plate, the engine would be able to rev without accelerating, or it may slip during high torque.
