I know this topic has probably been covered over and over...BUT the search server is down so I'm sure someone would be kind enough to answer a quick question.
I'm getting a grind during my 3rd-4th shift but ONLY at high rpm (7k+).
Sometimes my 2nd-3rd shift does the same thing.
Even if i shift slowly at high rpm, it still gives a slight "crunch" as it goes into gear.
At first I suspected excess engine movement due to the weak driver side fluid filled engine mount and replaced it with a hasport mount...didnt help.
Does this sound like a synchro issue that could possibly be cleared up with some GM Synchromesh?

sounds like synchros to me.....have you ever changed the fluid???
GM synchromesh will only cover up the problem if you are lucky, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but either way the problem is still there.
