switching chips??
I've been having problems recently regarding a code 15 (ignition output signal) on my obd1 b16. After troubleshooting everything on the distributor, I tried switching ecu's. I replaced my p28 with another p28, and the car fired briefly. I figured it stalled due to the fact that my p28 is chipped for a turbo setup with some 750 injectors, and the p28 I replaced it with was chipped with a mild all motor setup. So I decided to take the chip from the original p28 and try it in the working p28, and it fired up, sounded good, and held idle. After shutting the car off for a while, I tried to fire the car up again, and it would fire up then quit- with a major gas smell- as if getting too much fuel. Checked the plugs and they were pretty wet. I was wondering if the chip holds all data controlling the air/fuel setup, or if rest of the ecu has some imput as well? The car was tuned to run 750 injectors, but it seems like it is getting way too much fuel.
