Sway Bar Link - Broken?
Hello,
I have never diagnosed or replaced a Sway bar link.
i have 2007 Honda Civic LX - 1.8L
While i was replacing my rear brakes i went ahead and pushed my rear sway bar link and noticed that i can easily push it around. It seems to bend around as i push it.
However, on the opposite side (passenger side) the sway bar link seems to be very hard and stiff. I can't move it.
My question is.. which one is really broken.. the one i can move around or the one thats stiff as rock.
thanks

Re: Sway Bar Link - Broken?
It might not be “broken”, one side has play in it and the other side is stiff. It seems worn out but not broken. You could get a new one if you want your car to handle better, but otherwise you can just leave it.
If it moves around a lot then the sway bar might be split/snapped farther towards the center of the vehicle. You can just ignore it or replace the whole sway bar if you want to. Sway bars are absolutely necessary to drive the car.
