Default swapping an obd1 longblock into obd2 car....

I'm helping this lady do just a replacement engine in her integra. The original motor is a 96 (obd2) b18b1 and the replacement is a 93 (OBD1) b18b from the motherland. I'm swapping over the obd2 harness, intake manifold, and distributor. Anything else I may need to make everything go smooth and no check engine light? I heard from a friend I have to swap over the crank angle sensor from the original engine too--is this necessary? Anything else I forgot?

ps: sorry bout the double post (in hybrid), should've known I'd get quicker answers here

You'll need to swap over the oil pump and timing gear from the obd2 engine so you can bolt up the ckf sensor. Since you need to remove the oil pan you might as well replace the crankshaft seals.

good luck

First of all, thanks for replying to my post. Second, why does the oil pump and timing gears have to be swapped over? aren't they the same since they're both LS engines. If they are required in order for the crank angle sensor to be bolted up, can I just leave it as is and tie the sensor somewhere outside the obd1 timing cover and just plug in the sensor to the obd2 harness? I can't swap over the oil pump from the old engine because it's messed up. The old oil pump was the root of the spun bearing in the old engine. Any suggestions to my scenario?

The ckf(crank fluctuation) bolts to the oil pump so thart is why you need to change it, it won't bolt to the obd1 or obd0 oil pump. The obd2 timing gear is different and it is what the ckf sensor reads off, of so you need it. Probably also need to swap over the obd2 lower timing belt cover too. Looks like you will need to source another oil pump.
