Default Swapping from manual to automatic

Im pulling out an b20 motor out of a 94 LS automatic motor and dropping into an 94 LS manual car. I realize as i was pulling out the automatic shifter that they had a few plugs that connect to the automatic shifter. I was wondering if I need to take that big plug out and hook up in the manual car also. Im not sure if I have change the manual gas, brake, and clutch pedal could i still be able to start the car becuase you have to hold down the clutch down to start the manual car. Anyone ever did this kind of swap, please give me some important tips i need to know for this swap. Thanks.

I can't give you any solid information, however, I do know that the LS auto is electronically controlled, which means that the tranny has a wire harness that is not found on manual cars. I'm guessing you will need it. It probably has your reverse lights switch among other things.

Don't even attempt it without some good wiring diagrams.

Good luck trying to find any information whatsoever on automatics.

*i love auto*

Why not hook up the manual tranny from the LS until you have solid information? Or is that not possible in your application?

Besides it's own wire harness, the trans has it's own, seperate from everything else ECU. Transmission Control Module.. I think it under the dash somewhere on DC's.

I would of dropped in the manual, but the car is going to my sis and she doesnt want to drive manual...sucks...

I just ran into a problem while dropping the B20 in. The mounts dont line up correctly. The driverside and passengerside mounts stick out about an inch from where the bolts goes through. Is there any mounts that will make the motor line up?

I don't think its going to be worth all the trouble. You have to get auto ecu re run the harness to the tranny run the rev. switch into the shifter slider and run the shifter slider to the ignition because the car wont start if its not in park. alsonthe pedles are a bitch to do. all together its too much trouble plus i dont think the auto tranny will bolt up to a manual mount.

i did it in an eg and everyone was saying it wasnt worth it and it was too much of a pain. I got everything I needed for $90 at a junkyard. The passenger side HCP mount for $130 and the clutch for like $300. Took me like a half a day doing the conversion and I had no idea what I was doing Only part that stumped me was the reverse lights. I had to run a wire from the tranny to the wires that were used by the auto shifter
