help with swap!!

Default help with swap!!

i just finished a auto to manual conversion and gsr engine swap into my ls and it wont start. it cranks and gets fuel but wont fire. my neighbor told me that the automatic and manual ignition switches are different but the only difference i can see is this plug ( see picture)

can anyone tell me what that plug is for. any input is appreciated.

Im pretty sure your gonna need a manual starter.Someone correct me if im wrong.

I also just finished doing the same auto to manual conversion in my 94 ls but with a ITR motor. mine started rite up, didnt need to change the ignition switches.

already have a manual starter. it was a complete swap.

really? then i guess that plug isnt the problem. but anyways does anyone know what its for?

im not too sure dude, mabey airbag or for cruise control ?? thats my best guess... I dont remember seeing anything like that on mine.

did you rewire the automatic shift lever to trick the car into thinking its in park?

im pretty sure all motor grounds are hooked up. but ill check again.

no, i swapped out the complete harness, under dash and all. i shouldnt have to wire anything.

why did u swap the harness? everything is the same u just cut off the auto plugs from the harness thats all.

i swapped it out because its not the same, the ecu plugs are different, there was no wiring for the vtec solenoid or manual tranny, and there was no wiring for the clutch pedal. and i suck at doing wiring myself.

u could of just got a conversion harness, my car was an 98 ls auto and now i have a 5spd type r, and i'm using my factory engine harness,
