Swapping 2ndary o2 to primary at the ecu
So I made the idiot mistake of cutting my primary o2 off when installing my turbo kit.
Long story short, after heavy acceleration the car runs like ****. Because I essentially have no o2 sensor. I knew that on obd1 it only uses a primary. I snipped it.
Anyways, is there a way I can swap the pins/tap/reroute the wires that come from my obd2 wiring harness from the 2ndary o2, and tap them into the primary pins for the ecu?
In theory this makes sense and I have all the pin outs, I would basically for example, cut A6, and tap that wire coming from the harness into pin A5 at the ecu, etc etc.
Thoughts?

no. The secondary o2 is post cat and its only function is to ensure the cat converter is working.
if you pull your o2 signal from the secondary instead of the primary, it won't work.
Just put a new pigtail where you hacked off the old one.

If you are turbocharged and having that issue then it wasn't tuned right, or at all for that matter, and you could have other issues now because of that. Most tunes are done in open loop these days anyways as most sub $1k tuning solutions don't utilize O2 feedback very well. Plus, most setups disable the O2 corrections passed a certain RPM and TPS %. Are you tuned, and if so what EMS?
You can absolutely swap the pins from the secondary wiring to the primary wiring. You would just want to relocate the sensor before the catalytic converter if possible. If not, then use it wherever, just keep in mind that the further you get downstream the longer it takes for the exhaust to get there. You want it to be as close as possible to the cylinder head in most cases.
You keep talking about cutting stuff (which makes ZERO sense), why don't you learn from your previous mistakes and either depin or just leave it alone?

Well like I said. I only cut it because I thought it was the 2ndary I was cuttin which my chipped obd1 doesn't use a secondary.
That was a dumb mistake I know. I don't have a cat and I went ahead and just welded a new bung on the downpipe for the primary. It's all fixed now.
Yes I am tuned on a p28..
To add insult to injury I found the issue after the o2 didn't fix it.
It was my map settings on my safc. Must have gotten reset cause it was at 1in 1out instead of 6/6 it's working perfect now. Thanks guys
