is it possable to use only one o2 scencer instead of 2 and how
my jdm requires 2 o2 scencors can i convert it somehow so it only uses one? if so how i need to go back to only one so i can get after market headers and reinstall my crossmember. i tried this post before and got no responce please help!! is there a single o2 scencor that can send ot 2 signals? the o2 scencors are located on the exhaust manifold way before the cat their right off the head. is thier any o2 scecor that puts out 2 signals? this would solve my problem. where do u buy o2 simulators?
my old integra manfold had only one o2 scencor and it was at the bottem of the collector about 3 feet infont of the cat. if i splice them thogether and put one in that hole will it work. could any damage be caused to my ecu?

if its a 1st gen b16 you can splice the wire for the secondar o2 sensor into the first o2 sensor wire. seeing how both o2 sensors are before the cat.

you can get a o2 simulator that will trick the ecu that there is 2 sensors.
P.S. do not splice the o2 sensors together. your computer reads both. the first sensor(before the cat) is for the mixture and the second sensor(after the cat) is to fine tune/see if the cat is working properly

in the first gen b16s the o2s are both on the exhaust manifold where the primaries meet, where the 4 primaries go to 2. One reads the cylinder pair for cylinders 1 and 4 and the other reads cylinders 2 and 3. If you splice them into one o2, then this will throw off you fuel/air mixture, as one cylinder pair will either run rich or lean, which is bad. I used to have a jdm first gen b16a in my crx and wanted to get a header, but i didn't know what to do about the o2s. I asked around and most of the shops around here just told me to splice the o2s into one and run the o2 in the bunge at the end of the header near the cat (where most aftermarket hearders have the o2 bunge, but these are for usdm and obd1/2 motors). I sold the car before i actually bought a header because i never found a definate solution to the problem. If you had a 4-2-1 header you could weld in your own o2 bunges in the location of where they are on the stock jdm exhaust manifold, but i wanted to run a 4-1 header and didn't know where to weld the o2 bunges. I think the o2s have to be pretty close to the exhaust ports otherwise moving them down farther near the cat would affect their readings.
Does anyone else have any input on this stuff. I would still like to know what to do about both o2s also. Running an obd1 ecu with the conversion harness seems like a good idea though.
