I have a 95 GSR. I am getting some vibrating in the steering wheel only under braking. I know typically people think that this is the rotors causing this but I am concerned that it is something else.

As far as suspension goes, what should I look for?

 

pay 16 bucks to have the rotors turned, then worry about suspension

 

Warped rotors? No? Then move on to the suspension components from there.

if you havent replaced the rotors yet dont assume its anything else
99.99999% of the time, if it only happens with braking, its your rotors.
22$ a pop just get 2 new front ones and see what happens.

 

Why are you being harsh? What we're trying to tell you is that the suspension is not likely the problem. Your looking in the wrong place.

If replacing the rotors fails to resolve your problem then come back and state this. We'll help you out. But first things, first... focus on your rotors.

And, please learn to be a little more patient.

Not trying to be harsh. People need to answer the question that is asked... I already stated that the rotors are the primary thing to check first and the cheapest. I am not willing to put down a lot of money if I dont have to.

Everyone keeps coming in and post a one liner "rotors". What the hell good is that?

there is NOTHING else that will make the car shake under braking ONLY.
its your rotors.

 

Ohhhh, okay, so there is nothing in the front suspension that would also cause this???? Nothing?

Outer tie rods?? Ball joints??

Its okay, I now understand that I cant get an answer here. I was looking for someone to give me insight when my mechanic and I take a look...
