suspension?
i have a 2000 civic si, i have recently got my jdm dc header put on and i want to lower my car. the only problem i am running into is at college there are lots of speed bumps. therefore i do not want to lower my car a lot just enough to get rid of the wheel gap. can anyone help me with what springs i should get? thanks.
Kinda depends on how much you wanna plunk down and how you drive your car.
Do you wanna race or take corners fast? Do you want a smoothish ride?
Inexpensive coilovers probably Matrix but they have soft spring rates good for smooth but not the really perfect for super hard turns. I had them on my last civic and it turned rather well.
Ground Control fairly inexpensive @ 300 bucks but probably the best value. You can also get custom spring rates from them.
You will need struts. If not now as soon as they go out becuase lowering the vehicle is a death sentence for them. My opinion would be to get struts at the same time and save the old springs and struts in one piece and when you sell the car you can put it back to stock easily.
Struts are as expensive as you want them to be. From 240 a set to 550 a set depending on if you want adjustables or not.
Hope that helps.

typical it is a daily driver and i do some racing at the drag strip. it is just the stock height right now so i am looking to close the wheel gap. i can't have it too low at college or else my header will get banged up pretty good. any other ideas on what springs or coil overs i should get. thanks
My understanding is that Skunk coilovers are good for the drags. There seems to be alot of hate on H-T for that brand but I think their good.
Also go with the adjustable strut that way you can set it to stiff for racing and soft for daily driving.
BTW if you get Ground Control coilovers with Koni's you will need an adaptor. Tornactive.com sells those.
