Stuttering problem
Ok first
Background: about a month ago i took my transmission off to have it replaced with one because reverse didnt work, car sat from dec 6th to today.
problem: under low throttle the car stutters from about 2000-4000~ and it also happens from 5k+ under wide open throttle
no check engine light.
now I replaced my timing belt and alternator while the engine was out of the car, but it idles totally normal.
also i cleaned the engine thoroughly while it was out.
IM thinking
1) bad gas, went stale.
2) water in the spark plug
I also havent rebled the coolant after the first run and fan comming on.
any suggestions are welcome
(REVERSE WORKS THO!! WOOHOO

you got water in the plug wires or plugs. replace them. trust me on this man. i had the same problem and spent about 300 bucks finding it. but i would bet $100 that its betwen the coil and the end of the plug (ignition, somewhere) hope this helps, kamin

yea i pondered this all night at work, thats the only thing i can think of
im gonna go throw my stock wires back on and see what happens.
well the number 1 and 2 cylinder plug wires had water on the stem
how would i go about drying those? time? hair dryer?
the #2 plug was wet. i think i found the winner.

cool. i knew it had to be plug wire related. i fried a set of magnacores on my teg, and it was doing the same exact thing, so some NGKs came to the rescue. glad you got it
