stupid question about a P06
i have a chipped p06 ecu that i used for my turbo sedan, and i'm trying to sell it since the new car already has a chipped ecu. i know that the ecu came in a non vtec car, but can it be chipped for vtec as it sits, or be converted to a p28? i tuned my own car, but i have never messed with vtec, but the person that wants to buy it has a y8, and wants to know if he can use the p06. thank you in advance.

The obd1 p06 (dx ecu) can be converted to a p28 which is simple, and yes it works great and is powering my buddies high comp. ls/vtec running stock itr map. Motor pulls hard. I believe it can be used on the y8 since the p06 board is the same as the p28 minus vtec.
thanks for the reply. im going to wander over to pgmfi.org, which is probably where i should have gone in the first place lol
hopefully i can convert it to a p28 and sell it, or point the guy who wants to buy it in the right direction for converting it.
