Stumped.... Code 9
Hello i have a 92 eg hatch with a ls turbo swap in it. i recently got it finshed and i had a check engine for code 9 the cyp sensor. So i did some research and ohmed out all the plugs on the distributor and they all checked out at 380ohms. So then i tried a diffrent dizzy for fun still check engine tried 2 others and still a check engine. Then i also tried 3 other good chipped ecu's and still nothing. Also replaced the wireing from the ecu to distributor and still had a check engine..... So i am runing out of ideas to try if anyone had any other thoughts that would be apprecheated thanks.

Are you using an aftermarket distributor? I have seen many aftermarket distributors throw this code for no real explainable reason. I have also seen where the sensors ohm-ed out correctly but gave a weak signal (seen through an oscilloscope). If you were to find a way to move the pickup closer (read thousands of an inch) that would increase the signal strength and might solve your problem but I would try an known good OEM dizzy first and if that doesn't work I would check your wiring again and also make sure its shielded. Hope this helps.
