Stud replacement - Hub removal - Integra Type R
About a year ago I had to change my stud and it sounded like the hub had to be removed to replace the studs. I did some searching though Honda-tech and talked to some people.
Recently, I had to change my studs and my Honda-Tech searching still came up with the same info... take off the hub, maybe or maybe not replace the barring.
This time we changed 10 studs with out remove the control arm or removing the hub.
We took off the wheel, caliper, and dust cover. We hit the studs with a hammer so they had about a 20 degree bend in them.
Right under the tie rod end, on the hub, there is a spot that is close to a cut out. Just line the stud up and knock it out. As long is the old studs have a little bend (or are already broken) they will pop right out.
The new studs will pop right in though in the same spot with no prob.
Thought I would post this info out there to save some Ht's some time and money.

I took some pics on the digi cam. Ill have to post them up

My concern here is that if you hit the stud hard enough to bend it, you could be bending the hub and/or damaging the bearing as well.
