I am only speaking from my experience. I have a 99 Si and put on Spoon strut tower bars front and rear. The rear bar gave me the most difference in feel, the car behaves in a much more neutral way. The tendency to understeer, or push, in a corner is extremely lessened.

Most any car, street or race, can benefit from having a more rigid chassis, and a strut brace's purpose is to do just that (in a very general sense).

In drag racing, the trade off comes in weight. Most folks who build drag Hondas try and shed as much of their car's weight as possible, as lighter means quicker and faster, all other things being equal. Most feel that any benefits they might gain from chassis rigidity are almost certainly lost with the added weight of the brace.

For the street, and road racing, the added weight penalty is more than made up by controlling chassis flex and camber change.
