Default Stretched head bolts.....

Just out of curiousity, what would happen if you installed stock head bolts that were stretched beyond spec?

more than likely you'd be replacing the head gasket later or even replacing the head if it overheated and warped badly.....why do that....new ones aren't that much

Would it give you an incorrect torque reading??

I installed a 00 GSR head with 30,xxx kms on it to a rebuilt bottom end. It is now leaking coolant into #1, #3 and #4 cylinders only when the motor gets hot.

The block and head were decked..

No, it won't give you false torque reading.
