Strange problem on B18C Type R
Hi, I'm visiting this forum for a long time now and I finally decided to subscribe. I am experiencing problems with my engine that I couldn't find
any information to fix it.
By the way I'm from Montreal, I'm trying my best to write in english but there will may be some errors...
So here's my problem...
When the car is warm and I am rolling for about 20min, when I start from a stop, the engine is ''bucking'' a little bit between 1500 and 3000rpm.
It's worst when it is very hot outside. At WOT theres is no problems.
My setup is:
Civic 96 with stock B18C Type R '97 p73 ECU
SRI AEM
Exhaust 2'' 1/4 with 22'' resonator, high flow cat and Dynomax muffler
HKS sparkplugs
I recently replaced cap/rotor and the fuel filter.
I am thinking that maybe the O2 sensor is broken, but I have no CEL.
Or I am wondering if the short ram could be the cause ? It becomes very
warm under the hood and maybe the air coming in the engine is too hot ?
My center console where the handbrake is also becomes very warm after rolling for a few minutes.
Thank you for reading my post !

The problem began before I changed the cap/rotor. I didn't replaced wires and sparkplugs because they seemed to be OK. The engine is not overheating the temp gauge is at its normal position, and I dont have a CEL ...
