STP Fuel Injector Cleaner
yeah they all do a pretty good job of removing gum and unwanted deposits, it definately cannot hurt to go with a major name like STP or Regane, I am just not sure if inj cleaner and stp octane boost is the same thing in a different bottle????
i don't believe in any of those "in-tank" miracles.
use the OE stuff. Honda Top Engine Cleaner.
Cleans out the intake ports, intake manifold and tb area.. intake valves, chambers, etc.
The chit works, too. We did it on my motor before we tore it apart just for the hell of it, and it was real clean on the inside. Unusually clean.

Top end cleaner doesn't do anything for injectors- I have had great success with Techron CONCENTRATE- I believe the "honda" top end cleaner you are speaking of is actually a GM product.

I use Chevron Techron and Red Line Complete Fuel System cleaner.
I gave 1/3 of a bottle to a buddy years ago who was driving a a VW Rabbit which was only getting 24-5 mpg and within one tankful of gas, he was up just above 30mpg.
A woman I know has a '97 'Lude and it recently began to idle erratically and stumple. I suspected water or something in the gas so I added two 12oz. bottles of isopropyl alcohol to the tank and 1/2 bottle of Red Line. Cleared it right up within a couple days. Now, which product did the trick?
I only use two bottles of Red Line cleaner per year and maybe 6-7 bottles of isopropyl alcohol.

Nothing against STP, Techron and the others; but BG 44K, in my opinion, is the best. Can be injected direct with their fuel system cleaning kit or put in the tank. Many dealers in the midwest use it for cleaning both injectors and carbs. Cost is about $20.00 a pint retail. Your either buy direct or through a repair shop. They don't sell to DIY retailers.
