Stock Torque Ratings on B16, 18B, 18C1, 18C5, 20Z, and the H22A???
I don't really care about Horsepower ratings for the simple fact that it is very easy to increase.
Secondly, I know the Horsepower to weight ratios for my HX but, I want to know the Torque to weight ratio......I already know that each engine puts out more torque then the next due to the simple size of it.
Third, I am trying to figure out if the loss of A/C and power steering is worth the added weight of the H22A (shut up I know) a whopping 385 lbs. (engine tranny and axles).
Now that I have explained my question help me out and

well it does to a certain extent... but the total area under the torque curve is what you should be looking at, and more importantly the torque curve under the ranges in which you want the power at (mid-high rpms for drag racing, low-mid for more power in daily driving).

low-mid.......street driven......Drag not really......
I drive a HX there is no torque......
Torque and Horsepower are the same thing just how fast you can rev........so, I am looking at the basline torque ratings to see if the difference is that drastic to cover the weight penalty.

Chasis weight with D16Y5 = 2340 ( half a tank).
Engine with Tranny and axles is an EST 225.
Chasis comes to 2115.
Stock Horsepower to weight ratio and torque to weight ratio = 20.35 hp/lbs & 22.5 tq/lbs
B16 Chasis weight is EST 2415 = 15.09 hp/lbs & 21.76 tq/lbs
B18B EST 2415 = 17 hp/lbs & 19.48 tq/lbs
B18C1 EST 2415 = 14.21 hp.lbs & 18.87 tq/lbs
B20Z WT 2415 = 16.54 hp.lbs 18.16 tq/lbs
H22A Chasis weight = 2500 12.5 hp/lbs & 16.03 tq/lbs
Gee tough choice......Now, is the H22A's superior power worth the performance over the B18C1????
Notice: All horsepower and torque ratings pulled from offical Honda website.
Actual swap weight estimated except the H22A (sourced from Sport Compact Car install rating the H22A swap at 385 lbs and the D15 swap at 200 lbs).

I guess I should post the ratings huh??
B16 = 160/111
B18B = 142/124
B18C1 = 170/128
B20Z = 146/133
H22A = 200/156
EDIT: All quotes are for year 2000 engines.
Now my only issue is the total cost of the swaps.......I believe the H22A with all the exess stuff needed will cost 2600 dollars. Not including engine, tranny, axles or anything else.
I haven't tried to figure out a B series swap cost yet......been quoted on 5000.00 installed for a B18C1.

You can use a 96-98 Ex harness, but then you will have the same CEL problem I have!
Oh, people may tell you to use only the 99-00 engine harness from a DX or EX. But all Hx's, from 96-00 used the same wiring harness!

Re: Stock Torque Ratings on B16, 18B, 18C1, 18C5, 20Z, and the H22A??? (Mad HXMan)
Oh, I plan on doing the swap myself.....I was just basing a paid swap cause I haven't added all the little costs of things to do when I purchase the engine.
I.E. Water pump, Timing belt, Clutch, flywheel........once I get it in I don't want to have to pull it for something stupid.
Also, I didn't look into the F22, I should check that out.....
EDIT: Did they even make F22's in 2000??? The engine must be a 2000......hopefully one of the first smog legal swapped civics in California.
