Stock p28 or chipped P28?
Hey guys,
I need a little advise, I have a b16 in my 94 civic with a stock p28 and I am thinking a of purchasing a chipped p28 with rev limiter gone and lower vtec engagment. I was woundering if it will make much of a difference, will it be noticeable when i drive my car?I do not want to spend 175 dollars for a new ecu if i will not feel a difference. Any advise will help thanks.

...So you're running around with a 7600 RPM rev limiter with a B16?
Yeah, get a chip with at least an 8200 rev limit. That's about the only difference you'll see. Otherwise you'll just be dumping in more fuel than you'll need, especially if your motor is internally stock.
Buy it, and get that f-er tuned.

Don't spend $175 for a new ECU, just get yours socketed. contact ih8ricerz or sinner. With a socketed p28 you will have a variety of options
. I am using mine in an 89' hatch w/ b18b (uberdata), 8k rev, ftl, etc.
