Stock H22a combustion chamber CC's ????/ (PLEASE HELP!!!)
I'm looking for the average h22a combustion chamber CC's in one chamber....
I do realize that some castings can differ, I've found all the other motors yet not for the h22a specs...
could somebody tell me if they know.....

hmm well let's see.
1997 cc's in an h22a.
divided by 4
would most likely be 499.25 cc's in each combustion chamber

eh you didn't get it .....
combustion chamber CC's... not cylinder chamber cc's...
meaning take the head off the block, leave the valves in place with a spark plug, and using a burret (i think that's how you spell it.. you mesure the cc's that the combustion chamber occupies.....
you don't mesure it with the piston .... just the combustion chamber... mostly for engine building...
ANYBODY PLEASE !!!
(AVERAGE PLEASE !!!)

AHH i just realized i put 1997 cc's too which makes it almost 2.0
my bad to me.
now if i remember friggin correctly 2197 is what i meant, either that or 2198

For the H22A1 is 53.8 CC, but i don't know if for the H22A is the same. Hope it helps.

This doesnt answer the topic question, but to clear up the H22's displacement, it's 2157cc. Not 1997, or 2197.

i don't usually wake up that early

ok... for that 53.8, that's raw chamber size, with sparkplug and valves inserted at head level not with piston extrusion i Take it ???
because mine is currently at 54.15 (after some work) so i'm wondering how much compression loss i'm currently at ...

Combustion chamber cc`s usually are with a plug and valves installed... or if they use line of sight from seat to seat but that would be near possible to calculate in math... because the head casting at the factory `the bowl`is not perfectly round... so leave`s t to beleive that it`s with vavles and so forth... from the material removed i figure it`s about 1/2 cc`s worth so i should be ok... looks different when the whole chamber is polished up -mirror shine- looks bigger but it may not be...

Re: Stock H22a combustion chamber CC's ????/ (HotWheelz-turboh22dx)
do you have it already installed?? if so, how did it felt in comparision to the stock head?
one of the things i would like to do if i do that, is send the head to one of the companies that does the coatings (i think swain is one), i've read in SCC that is something worth, because it lowers the temp of the chamber a couple of hundreds degrees.
i want to build a H22A with a compresion around 12:1 or 13:1, and if i do so, i might do this coating. i'm courious about if it works and if it does something to the performance of the engine. i think it would be a nice experiment, don't you think?
