i tried posting this in the crx forums and people tried to help but still not getting spark. brining the question in here. just need to get the car running.

okay. ive been trying to get spark for i dont know how long. i keep getting random problems that appear. i know i have power going to the distributor. ive replaced the ignition coil, ignitor, distributor cap, and rotor. everything should be good there. i have the harness, tranny and the valve cover grounded. im so confused, cause the thermo sensor was one of the last things i did right before i lost spark. when i unplug this sensor i find that all standar indicator lights turn on (seat belt, trunk, gas) and one time i plugged this up i actually got a check engine light which just stayed on. bad ecu? but later it came off didn't do anything else. im so confused. like i said i know i got power to at least the distributor. but shouldn't everythign check out to be okay? i mean the distributor is basically new now after replacing everything. could the distributor seized up. ahhh someone help me.

 

btw its an obd1 b16a in my crx.

 

Borrow someones dist. and try it out. What do you got to lose? At least it will tell you if thats the problem.
