Default Step by Step Help Please

I have to replace my rear engine mount on my 1994 Acura Integra GSR. I got a new honda rear engine mount from a friend and now I have to put it in, but i don't know how. Does anyone have a site I can go to for step by step help. Does anyone know how to replace a rear engine mount and can tell me step by step. I need the help please anything would be appreciated but detail would help, I am a noobie at engine stuff.

Thanks alot,

Thai

crap, i knew i shouldnt have opend this post

ok, do you have tools? probly: 2 jack stands, a 17mm socket, 17mm ring spanner and a bottle jack?

this is how i would change my B16A rear engine mount:

1. raise car and support securely on jack stands;
2. use bottle jack under a piece of wood under the oil pan or ex. manifold to take the weight off the rear mount;
3. remove the bolts holding the mount to the car & remove mount;
4. fit the new mount to where the old one was - making sure you do hte bolts up to a similar tightness (ie pretty tight)
5. lower engine and lower car.

man, that is soooo simple - i dont really know how else to explain it...

i hope it helps, but i dont know hoe experienced you are at wrenching and stuff...

there will be no site with a step by step...

except for here:

I dunno about that...I used the jack on the tranny near the flywheel..

This whole process seems simple.. Rather time consuming to me. I had soo much trouble getting to the damn bolts that hold the actual mount in, i used swivles, etc , u name it. lol

Its easier to chang on a b16a then a gsr, due to the bigger IM. Damn thing gets in the way.

I am new at this and I want to try to do things on my own rather than going to a shop and they charge me a bunch of money. What does IM mean and also is it better to support under the engine mount or by the flywheel.

thanks for the help everyone

What do u mean supprt it by the engine mount? you just need to jack it a lil by the flywheel, cast tranny casing it stronger then the oil pan, besides, why risk it?
IM means intake manifold, big thing bolted to the back of your head, no not YOUR head, your cars head.
