Default Steering wheel return-spring tension

I have the impression that the return springs are adjustable, and with a few tools I can raise the tension a bit. Is this true? Steering feels really light at the limits. The Chilton manual doesn't say anythinga about it, so I'm wondering if you guys know. I have a '93 Prelude. Thanks.

There's no springs, man. It's called caster. Because of it, you are slightly lifting the car when you turn the steering wheel. The car wants to go back down, and hence the steering wheel centers.....

Put a new set of tires on the front and as if by magic, the steering wheel return spring pressure will change.

Ya, and make sure they're wider and bigger tires too.

Actually, I replaced my 185/70/14's with 205/60/14's and I think the steering got lighter! I was a little disappointed. Maybe it's due to the higher pressure rating. I get to keep these puppies at 44psi.

a higher pressure is not always desireable... just b/c a tire can have a max of 44 psi in it doesn't mean you should max out the tire...

Yea, I think that kragen sells them. I saw the package next to the JDM blinker fluid.

Don't forget to fix that noisy muffler bearing too.
