Steering Rack Grease!
So, I'm in the middle of replacing my steering rack bellows and my helms manual says to apply "Silicone Grease" to the end of the steering racks, the part under the two boots. I've included this picture so i'm sure you guys will know what I'm talking about. What other greases have people use and gotten away with? I was thinking about ordering Dow Corning 33 but I'm really not sure what I should be using. I can't find Honda Steering Rack grease anywhere.
I circled and drew arrows to where they want me to put the silicone grease. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
George

Re: Steering Rack Grease!
i would use silicone lubricant. same stuff used on brake caliper slide pins (sil glyde)
it does not attack or deform rubber like petroleum based lubricants.
