Question? my buddy got pulled over and he's got a jdm motor, cops told him he needs to go to a state ref for i/e(CA). The only thing we can think of doing is buying a dx motor and dropping it back to an ef then swapping it back out. Anyone got any other suggestions or how strict State refs are? what to do? One of my buddie told me that once u get to the state refs, you mind as well sell that shiot or scam it?

 

as long as he passes the emissions he will be fine. some state refs dont know which motor is which. just make sure all his smog equipment is installed and there are no frayed hanging wires with no sensors plugged in
