Default starting problems

Can someone help me please? I have a 1990 Acura Integra and have been having intermittent problems starting my car. It seems to start, but as soon as I let go of the key it shuts back off again. I have to try to start it about 5 or 6 times, while putting my foot on the gas pedal at the same time. This problem doesn't happen every time. I brought it to a mechanic over the summer, and he said it had something to do with the fuel delivery to my engine. He replaced the relay on my car (?). I've still been having problems with it ever since, and no one seems to know the cause of the problem. Can someone help me please?
