A starter question.
Ok first off this car isnt a Honda, its a Dodge, a Dodge Caravan. The reason why im posting here is because im always with H-T and i hope one of you guys would know, and i dont think its to much different from Honda's.
This car isnt mind, its my friend in Az (and im in CA) so i cant really help her. But i heard the noise on the phone. When she turns the keys the car trys to turn then theres a loud clicking sound. I was thinking it might be the batt. dead but it didnt sound like that when my batt. died. But the noise might be different thru the phone. Any idea's? And whats a best way i could explain to her to take out the starter over the phone, if it is it? Thanks.

Yeah, but how could i explain to her over the phone how to take the starter? Next time she calls im going to tell her to jump start the car (to see if its the batt.) and if that dont work then its the starter

If its clicking multiple times after she tries to start the car , its not the starter. If it only clicked once it would be the starter selenoide sticking, needing a new starter. She should jump the car and if it starts run it for a while to charge the battery. then go to a shop to make sure the charger is charging and to see if the car has a draw. Sorry so long winded
my uncle has a plymouth voyger same thing his batter died one day and when u try to start it all u hear is the clicking sounds we jumped started the car and it was fine.
