Starter, Alternator, Battery or what?
Okay,
so for the last two or three weeks my car had been having a slight prob starting. This prob only happened sometimes. I would try to start my can and I would get nothing for about 10 tries, sometimes 5, 12 times. All I would hear is like a click when I turned the ignition. But then it would start just fine sometimes. I checked my positive starter connections yesterday at my bro's house and they seemed fine. Then, driving home later on that night, my car just died out of nowhere. First, I felt hisitation then I noticed the lights were flickering. Right after that, it shut off. The interior and exterior lights were dim and I couldn't start it back up. Is this an Alternator issue? Could the alt cause the problems I was having starting the car? Anyone have a similar prob before? I tried searching and it seemed like a wide variety of solutions....Help please....

The first things I would check are the battery connections and the battery itself. A battery that has a cracked/broken plate internally will cause problems like the ones you are describing.
yeah. it sounds like a battery/alternator problem, but go over your grounds also. I had some of problems like that and it came down to being a ground. I've never had my car stall, but you never know.
Your starter contacts could also be worn, that would cause the intermittent start condition. I would also check your alternator output by checking battery voltage with the engine @ 2k rpm. Should read around 14V I believe, but check the spec.
Alright,
thanks guys...I'll go to the autoparts store to get those checked after I shovel some snow...first snow of the season...I'll keep an update...

This sucks...
I tried jump starting my car this morning and nothing. My battery is fine. It cranks but it just wont start. I think it might be the ignitor or coil. I'm gonna try to change those with some used ones my brother has just to see if that's the problem... I'll keep you guys updated

Figured it out yesterday...We switched out the igniter and coil at the same time and my car started up right away...I was so relieved. Don't know which one was bad exactly but we switched out both to save time and get away from the cold weather. Thanks guys...
your battery could have a short in it i had the same problem and i went changing all these things...just wasted money..what u do is take a volt meter w/ the car off and disconnect the + terminal and touch the volt meter progs to the + battery cable and the + terminal on the battery and if u get 12V u have a short in the battery, but if u get a really low reading than it could very well be ur alternator...hope this helps..bump for someone w/ the same problems as me...
