Smoking after oil changes?
Hey guys, wondering if you can give me some insight to this issue:
I have a High compression b16a in a 91 CRX (See my profile for list of mods) and whenever I do an oil change I have heavy blue smoke billowing out until I run the car for a real long time (a week or so), then it appears really only on startup for 30 seconds. It especially smokes when I do left hand turns, thus led me to believe that it was a valve seal issue. So, I replaced all the valve stems with brand new honda factory seals. Changed the oil, and lo and behold, it still happens. I don't think it's my rings either, cuz I just did a compression test and my test shows:
Cyl 1: 265
Cyl 2: 270
Cyl 3: 255
Cyl 4: 260
Any ideas what could be causing it then?
Thanks in advance

I am assuming that the smoke is comming from the tailpipe. Well if it's oil you might have the ring gaps lined up rather than spaced out on the piston. And you are sure that everything seated properly??? Oh and it could be left over oil in the cat.
Just ideas off the top of my head.

When I installed the pistons I made sure that they were spaced out. I'm pretty damn sure I did a good job making sure they seated properly too. Any other ideas?
I didn't know there was priming necessary after a seal change. Would that ruin the seals as soon as I put them on? Because the symptoms are the same before and after the change.
I just prime out of habit and you can never be too safe. Now when you did the seals I suppose you had a machinest look at the head right? It could also be the valve seats. If I get any other ideas I will post them up for you.

when I did the seals, I did them with the head on, just pressurized the cylinder. As far as valve seats how would that affect it?
