i start classes at uti this june at rancho cucamonga ca. im pretty siked.. get my automotive career on its way.. just wondering if you people knew of people who attended or are attending the school.. seems like a really top notch tech school.. plus im a new yorker.. so its gonna be a nice change.. for me
one person i know that went makes 8.00 an hour after paying them all that money the key is to get into one of the automakers training school after taking the course other wise you will wind up making 8.00 also.
Try to get into Mercedes, Toyotas T-TEN or Porsche all them start out around 40k+ after you do thier training schools.
Good Luck

UTI = $15k to make 8 bucks a hour. Its a decent school but you can get a better automotive education at most junior colleges for $2k. I went to rio hondo and made $12 after I graduated I know 3 people that went to uti and only made $8 after they graduated and had student loans to pay off.
Went to a college and cost 5K for auto school and 2 year degree. They also gave me 2K in tools and most books. After school was making $12 and am upto $14 now after 6 months of work at a dealer.
UTI is alot more complex though I got a friend going to the cali school also right now.

I know a few people who went to UTI and one of them is one of my best friends. He works at pep boys and makes 9.00 an hour. Why, becuase he didn't do a "graduate" or dealer specific program. If you've noticed a common theme here its Do a dealer program if not, it's kind of just a garauntee to do oil changes and bust tires. But he had a good time though.
