SRS light flashin
When I checked my 01 GSR for engine codes my SRS light kept flashing the whole time my engine light was flashing. Also the code that I got was a 24 but I don;t think there even is a 24. Anyones help is greatly appreciated.

I think the SRS light will flash steadily if there are no codes stored.
Code 24 huh? Was that 2 long flashes followed by 4 short?

The SRS light flashes when the SCS connector is shorted, that is normal. If the SRS light is not on under normal circumstances, (it should come on for 6 seconds after you start the car, and then go out) there is no problem in the SRS system.
SRS should be warranty, try taking it to your local dealer and let them deal with it. If it is not covered under warranty, then go after the cause yourself. I have not seen this code myself-we see a lot of OPDS problems on Acura cars, also damaged cable reels and so forth.

Which light flashed this code? The CEL or the SRS?

The check engine light was the one that flashed the code. The SRS was just steadily blinking the entire time. The car has zero warranty due to al the engine mods.
Well, you got me stumped. No code 24 in my service manual for the check engine light. If you are absolutely certain that the code it is flashing is a code #24, try another ECU.

As far as I know that's not a valid code. Maybe someone with a Helms for your GSR can check. Could it be codes 20 and 4? How long is the pause between the long and short flashes?

okay so I finally think that I found my problem. I went to change my timing belt and one of the teeth on the crankshaft timing belt pulley is broken off. This had to be giving me the check engine light since the Cranshaft position sensor could not get a correct reading. Does anyone know if one off from an SI will fit on my 01 GSR?
